WELCOME TO DONCASTER QUAKERS AND THE DONCASTER MEETING HOUSE

We are a small-faith based community and welcome anyone to our Meeting for Worship on a Sunday.  We have an hour of silent worship which may be punctuated by spoken 'ministry' by anyone present who feels compelled to speak.

As Quakers we have our roots in Christianity and the life and teachings of Jesus.  But we also respect and seek to learn from the experience and opinions of others and work towards common human goals.

Quakers believe that everyone can have direct experience of God, and that there is "that of God in everyone".  We have no creeds, paid priests or ministers.  What we have in common is our search for a real experience of God's love and power in the everyday world.  Our meetings for worship are based on silent waiting, in which we seek to come nearer to one another and to God.

We have a fantastic Meeting House which is a resource we would like to share with others.  We have a modern, refurbished building near to the centre of Doncaster with parking and easy wheelchair access to meet our needs and those of others in this area.  This is available for hire.

You can find out more about us and other Quakers through this website and through www.quaker.org.uk.
